Challenges and Therapeutic Solutions to Orbital Disease

Dear Colleagues and Friends

On behalf of the Orbital Society and the Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to New York City to participate in the Second International Orbital Society Symposium. The meeting will be held on September 26 and 27, 2008 at the historic New York Academy of Medicine.

Every five years the members of the Orbital Society organize a broad based symposium to review the recent advances of the field and look forward to future developments on the horizon. We invite members of the Society and leaders of the affiliated sub-specialites to present their investigative work. Dynamic multidisciplinary interaction is encouraged. Free papers and posters are invited as they provide stimulus for future therapeutics and investigation.

The New York Academy of Medicine Conference Center is on New York’s Museum Mile, directly across from Central Park’s exquisite Conservatory Gardens and the Museum of the City of New York. The Academy is literally minutes from all metropolitan New York City transportation hubs, including LaGuardia, John F. Kennedy International and Newark Liberty Airports, Grand Central Terminal, Pennsylvania Station and the Port Authority Bus Terminal. The Academy building was a donation from the Carnegie Foundation and was built in 1926. It was designed by the architectural firm of York and Sawyer in the “Early Romanesque” style.

The Fall is the arguably the best season in NYC with bright sunny days and cool clear nights, a wonderful time to enjoy an extended stay in the Metropolitan area.
We look forward to your visit to NYC and your participation in the Symposium September 26 and 27, 2008

Sincerely,
Michael Kazim MD
